 American Bully is a dog that was created in the late 20th century. They are often mistaken as an american stafford shire terrier, and all though the breed is descended from american stafford shire terrier, they do not conform to the american stafford shire terrier breed type. There is a kennel club, called the American Bully Kennel Club, tha is dedicated to American Bullys. The American Bully, which is a new breed was created from various bull breeds. This breed has been established since 1990, it was created to give a new direction and outlet for the breed. All the positive characteristics of the breed used were kept, like loyalty, stability with humans, and other impressive physical attributes. The traits of dog aggression and gameness were bred out of the breed, because the breed had no future purpose for those traits. A new style of breed was formed and is now promoted as the "American Bully". This breed still carries the ancestry of the "american stafford shire terrier" and other bull breeds and still has to deal with the reputation of that breed; but this is not the same breed. The event such as this are showing the world why this is a great breed, and changing public perception in mass numbers. These types of events help educate the public on the American Bully and why it is a great breed, and it also helped to break down negative stereotyping of both the breed and people. CABEÇA

 

• A cabeça deve ser pesada, grande e larga, sendo uma característica marcante da raça.

• De comprimento médio, profundo por toda parte, crânio largo, com músculos muito pronunciados, stop bem marcado e profundo.

Orelhas

• Podem ser naturais ou cortadas. (Sendo naturais o formato em rosa é preferível)

Olhos

• Todas as cores igualmente aceitas, exceto os olhos azuis excessivamente claros que é uma falha e albinismo que é uma desqualificação.A falta de pigmento em torno dos olhos é indesejável.O formato dos olhos é oval e ligeiramente arredondados, baixos no crânio e bem separados.

Falta desqualificante: Albinismo.

Focinho/Nariz/Trufa

 

• De comprimento curto e médio amplo de largura. A base deve ser mais curta do que o comprimento do crânio medindo 25% a 35% (1/4 a 1/3) do comprimento total da cabeça.O focinho é levemente quadrado e caindo abruptamente abaixo dos olhos.

• O queixo deve ser forte e paralelo ao focinho, nunca virando para cima.

Faltas: focinho muito longo ou pontudo, fraco sob a mandíbula, debaixo da mandíbula ou empurrando para trás.

• Dentição: Tesoura, sendo aceito tesoura invertida justa, prognatismo.

 

• Nariz/Trufa: todas as cores aceitáveis, exceto o albinismo despigmentado (Rosa de cor clara)

PESCOÇO

• Pesado, musculoso, ligeiramente arqueado, afinando dos ombros para trás do crânio, deve ter pouca ou nenhuma pele solta (pouca pele solta é aceitável no XL e Extreme).

Faltas: pescoço muito fino ou fraco ou muito longo.

Anteriores

• Ombros devem fortes e musculosos, com musculatura definida, de conjunto amplo e bem colocada para trás.O braço superior é aproximadamente igual ao comprimento da omoplata e se junta a um ângulo de aproximadamente 35 a 45 graus.

• Pernas da frente devem ser retas paralelas, ossos grandes e redondos, apresentando metacarpos curtos.

• Pés-levemente virados para fora são aceitos.

Faltas: ombros sem musculatura aparente.Pernas muito longas,frente em desalinho com o conjunto e pés excessivamente virados para fora.

CORPO

• Musculoso e maciço mostrando um corpo compacto, dando a impressão de grande força para seu tamanho e exemplificando o tipo da raça American Bully.

• Costelas bem arqueadas, profundas na parte traseira, devem mostrar um dorso bem preenchido em seu todo.

Dorso

• Bastante curto, levemente inclinado da cernelha à garupa sendo aceito o dorso reto com uma suave inclinação da garupa à base da cauda.(Traseiras ligeiramente superiores são aceitas para XL e variedade Extreme), mas não desejadas nas variedades Standard e Pocket.O American Bully deve dar a aparência de um corpo quadrado.O dorso deve sempre aparentar grande força.

Faltas: dorso muito longo, traseira mais alta que a cernelha e dorso fraco.

Posteriores

 

 Bem musculoso, não virando nem para dentro nem para fora (pequenas voltas são aceitas no XL e variedade Extreme).

 O desenvolvimento muscular, angulação e largura dos posteriores devem estar em equilíbrio com a dos anteriores.

 Quando visto a partir das pernas traseiras devem ser retos e paralelos.

 Garupa deve ter um ângulo levemente descendente.

Faltas: Posteriores virados para dentro ou para fora (ligeira virada para fora aceito no XL e variedade Extreme).

Posteriores estreitos; retos ou mal angulados prejudicando as articulações e a movimentação,assim como,pernas muito arqueadas são faltas graves.

Faltas: cauda longa ou muito curta até cerca de um centímetro acima ou abaixo da ponta do jarrete.

Faltas graves: cauda retorcida, Cauda extremamente curta.

PÉS

• Deve ser de tamanho médio, compacto, bem arqueados e com dedos juntos

Selecting a Bullies from a bloodline which has a high-quality pedigree is one key requirement for anyone wanting to own such a dog. There are many kennels that produces such high-quality Bullies, but the dogs of the American Bully Gottiline are one of the most popular.

We often get calls asking about how we get the tri color pitbull puppies we have for sale. Here is an explanation of how the blue tri, fawn tri, black tri, chocolate tri, champagne tri (purple tri), or any tri color pitbull bully is produced.

The tan point pattern is caused by a recessive gene on the Agouti series gene locus, the following are the alleles (variations) that are definitely known to occur in the American Pit Bull Terrier and the american bully gottiline. There are also a couple of other genes on this same locus, but they are most likely not present in this breed, so we will ignore them in this article to try and keep things simple.
Agouti locus alleles present in the APBT and AB
A Dominant Black: produces a solid color (ie: black, chocolate or blue)
ay Dominant Yellow – Produces reds and buckskins
at Tan-Point (recessive)- produces solid color with tan 'points'
A dog needs to inherit two copies of the tan-point gene to be a black & tan. If a pup inherits one copy of the gene and one copy of the dominant yellow gene, which causes a red or buckskin coloration, then the dog will be red or buckskin, not black and tan. If the dog inherits one copy of the tan-point gene and one of the dominant black gene, the result will be a solid black dog. because of the recessive nature of the tan-point gene, it can actually remain hidden in the gene pool for many generations without expressing itself. In the case of our breed (where this is not a common color) this is what often happens, but it is important to realize that when the tan-point pattern does pop up it is not some new color mutation that appeared out of nowhere, but rather the manifestation of a gene that has been present in this breed all throughout the known history of the American Pit Bull Terrier. Though it is impossible to say for sure where the coloration originated, our best guess would be that it came from some sort of terrier blood that was introduced many, many years ago, probably during the early formation of the breed in the British Isles.
Actually, part of the reason the color is uncommon is that there has been a distinct prejudice against it by many people, either because they feel it is not a typical Pit Bull color, or even actually thought it was the result of a mixed breeding. The latter reason shows an ignorance of basic genetic principles, because the gene is recessive, there is no way you could breed a Rottweiler or a Doberman or Manchester Terrier to a Pit Bull and get puppies with the tan-point markings unless the Pit Bull was carrying the tan- point gene too. If in fact the black and tan color was not present in the APBT gene pool, you would have to breed to a dog of another tan-point breed, and then breed two offspring from such a breeding back together to get black & tan dogs, in the first generation you would get no tan-pointed offspring.
The tan point gene does not actually create a black & tan animal, the gene itself does not produce any color but rather a pattern of a solid color with light-colored 'points'. These 'points' always appear in specific places but the actual size and distribution of them is somewhat variable. The exact coloration that is produced by the tan-point gene is dependent on the color genes present at other loci, for instance if the pigmentation is black, the result will be a black & tan, but if the dog's pigmentation is chocolate or blue then the pattern would produce a chocolate & tan or a blue & tan, respectively.

Also don't get fool into the hype of the tri color gene being stronger because several generations were tri colors. Having it in several generations doesn't mean anything when it's a recessive gene. It doesn't matter if every single dog in the pedigree were tri color pitbulls, it is still a recessive gene which means other colors will dominate first. So it comes down to matching two parents that carry the gene not generations of it to produce tri color pitbulls.

This applies to the American Bully even though the American Bully stems off from the pit bull but has also been influenced by the infusion of several different types of bulldog breeds according to both the UKC , IPC Registry & ABKC.

You don't have to understand the fancy words (I don't understand or care what an allele is) but you now know the tri color gene is recessive, which means you need both parents to be carriers in order to produce tri color pitbulls.
Also don't get fooled into the hype of the tri color gene being stronger because several generations were tri colors. Having it in several generations doesn't mean anything when it's a recessive gene.
It doesn't matter if every single dog in the pedigree were tri color pit bulls or American Bullies, it is still a recessive gene which means other colors will dominate first. So it comes down to matching two parents that carry the gene not generations for it to produce tri color pit bulls.
Also, breed for temperament, health, functionality and structure. Not for color. Do this and you'll be proud of what you produce. Hope this article was helpful.

Gottiline was founded by Richard Barajas of West Side Kennels. He is the owner of Gottiline's foundation sire, "The Notorious Juan Gotty". The foundation bitch of Greyline was the late Showtime. Showtime is the producer of Gotty's father, 'PR' Greyline's Raider 2.) He purchase Gotty for the amount of $1,300. When Gotty was approximately 7 weeks old his sire, "Raider" passed away. When Gotty was 7 months old he sired his first litter. He went on to produce many foundation males and females including Coldens Blue Rhino, and Felony (The sire and dam of 21 Blackjack), New Troijan's Dillenger, Pate's Blue Beast, Gottiline's Monster, Do Good Big Boy, and Westside's Capone just to name a few. Gotty is the sire of over 700 U.K.C. registered American Pit Bull Terriers. Since 1997, Gottiline has spread across the USA, Canada, China, the Philippines, and Japan. Juan Gotty will go down in history as one of the greatest dogs in the bully style movement.

Gottiline is one of the most popular bloodlines in the american bully world. Gotti pitbulls have a distinctive look that you are able to tell them apart from other blood lines.
